PROJECT OVERVIEW
The brief was to reimagine Stotfold FC’s badge and club brand while keeping hold of what already made it distinctive: the shield shape, the eagle, the black and gold, and the sense of local heritage. Rather than creating a polished badge that could belong to any modern club, the aim was to build something that felt rooted in Stotfold — tougher, sharper, more ownable.
The final identity draws from three key ideas: the eagle as the club’s central symbol, the cog as a nod to Stotfold Watermill, and the village’s historic connection to stables and folds. These references come together in a modernised crest designed to work across kits, signage, merchandise, matchday graphics and fan culture. A new Latin club motto, EX STABULIS VOLAMUS — “From the stables, we fly” — was introduced as a heritage-led line connecting the meaning of Stotfold with the club’s Eagles identity. This was not about making football branding cleaner for the sake of it. It was about giving a club badge more bite, more story and more belief.
